As such, the DVD volumes listed here are out-of-print. In subsequent years, Wedding Peach enjoyed two priced-down reissues before ADV Films eventually went under in 2009 (it was later reborn as Sentai Filmworks, Section23 Films and Maiden Japan).Īs of this writing, the English language distribution rights for the Wedding Peach anime have expired and the series is not currently licensed for future North American distribution. However, this did not seem to impact the official release of Wedding Peach in the US as primarily a title for older fans already familiar with series such as Sailor Moon.ĪDV‘s initial release of the series was in individual DVD volumes with two Collector’s Edition volumes that came bundled with boxes to store the full release. This was a relatively unexpected announcement at the time, as magical girl series didn’t (and still don’t) tend to find a large audience in the United States without being broadcast for children, like Sailor Moon (and even then there are no guarantees - see Tokyo Mew Mew). The Wedding Peach anime series was licensed for US sale in late 2003 by ADV Films, before beginning individual volume releases in March of 2004.
